UNCLE EZRA AND CORNELL WELCOME YOU TO ITHACA!!! DEAR UNCLE EZRA is back in business. I am receiving new questions as you read this and I will post my first answers of the semester on Thursday August 28th. I can't answer every question, so I urge you to also call one of the many Cornell offices (see Links) to get an answer to your question.
About Uncle Ezra...
Dear Uncle Ezra opened these virtual doors in 1986 to respond to a need for a human interface with the diverse offices and services on campus. Since that time, Cornell students, families, alumni, and many of our global community have shared questions, thoughts, or feelings by asking Uncle Ezra. Uncle Ezra endeavors to select and answer questions that will benefit the senders and that will educate, edify and/or entertain the entire Cornell community. With an ever-expanding Internet audience, it is unfortunately not possible to answer every single query in the overflowing in-box, nor to guarantee instant answers.
Tips for getting the most from Dear Uncle Ezra and using the Cornell information network
- if you're willing to provide your e-mail, Uncle Ezra may be able to respond directly without waiting for a posting
- check out the archives - your answer may already be there
- questions about admissions and financial aid can be answered best by contacting those departments directly
- don't forget Uncle Ezra's Links for a vast array of informational web sites (or use your search engine)
- some questions benefit from face-to-face interaction -- take advantage of being here with your friends, colleagues, Cornell staff, and faculty to dialog with them in person and develop relationships as you get your questions answered.
